New shop opening Saturday 11th October in Ottery!!

Samosa Lady, Tina, is opening her brand new shop on Saturday the 11th October. She has been working hard with family and friends to get the shop ready and Saturday will mark her grand opening!

Since starting her venture, Tina has introduced home style Gujarati food to the community. Offering a variety of different flavoured Samosas at the monthly community market as well as her popular coriander chutney.

This small beginning now includes Bollywood Nights, fine dining experiences, monthly ‘Passage to India’ evenings and the Ottery Family and Food Festival, culminating in the cook off with Saira Hamilton.

When the opportunity arose to establish a new business in the centre of Ottery, Tina realised it would able her to develop the private events, cookery schools and the ‘Virtual Pop Up Takeaway’.

Tina will also be selling her products and other Indian cooking supplies, such as spices, different rices, flours etc.

The shop will be open Thursday to Saturday 9.30am to 4.30pm, offering light Indian snacks and a cup of chai, using Tina's family chai masala recipe, which you can enjoy on the premises, surrounded by the smells of Indian cooking and ambience. Or you may instead purchase chilled weekly special curries, pickles, chutneys, rices, breads and her famous handmade samosas with many different flavours to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Tina intends on continuing her supporting local businesses and local produce where possible, and would like to thank the community for all their support and encouragement since starting this venture.

We wish Tina the best of luck in making her dream come true and look forward to trying out all the fabulous dishes!
