An Annual celebration of everything the immediate area around Ottery St Mary offers in terms of Food & Drink, aimed at all ages. A full day (free of charge) of fun, with foodie demos, workshops, a street market, street food, entertainment, and activities aimed at children. This is a community-organised passion driven event of local food and talent. The event shares with you our wonderful local producers, products and chefs.
The Ottery St Mary Food & Families Festival was first held in 2012 by a small group of individuals who wanted to celebrate local food. As a non-profit organisation, the key aim is to raise local and regional awareness of Ottery St. Mary as a destination for all things food and drink related, be that buying, eating out, or producing. As such, the festival aims remain...
1. To provide a great day out! On 4 June 2016 nearly 5,000 people joined in with the fantastic fun each day.
2. To involve local groups (e.g. schools) to help raise awareness of good and healthy, locally produced and sourced products.
3. To provide an opportunity for local enterprises to showcase their business to the local community and tourist trade.
